FluteWild Camp is a 3-day camp for flute players entering
grades 7 -12. Located in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, FluteWild Camp
provides an opportunity for students to grow as musicians and
learn more about the flute by working on sound and technique,
playing new music, and working one-on-one with a flute
instructor. Students also have the opportunity to try different
instruments of the flute family from the piccolo to the bass flute.
Professional flute instructors from the Eau Claire area have
designed this camp to inspire young players while improving their
flute playing. We hope you can join us this
year at FluteWild Camp!

FluteWild Camp 2010 was a huge success! We had a lot of fun working with all of the
campers and creating music together. This year the campers enjoyed learning about breathing,
intonation, flute fingerings and trills, rhythm, and playing ensemble music. Students also had the
opportunity to play a piccolo, alto flute and bass flute, and try new flutes from Katie Lowry (flute
repair technician and salesperson) of St. Paul, MN. The camp ended with a recital and wonderful
performances from everyone. We thank all of the campers for their enthusiastic participation!
